We had a fantastic day, taking part in a range of activities that enabled us to experience and acknowledge the diversity of cultural backgrounds of staff and students at St Matthew’s school.  Thank you to our friends who led sessions on this day. Your time and knowledge was very much appreciated! Special thanks to Mrs D’Alton and Mrs Dyke for organising this great event!

On the 14 June 2017, three members of the Perth Wildcats came and spoke to the children. They then ran a basketball clinic with our very lucky Year 6 students. A big thank you to Angus Brandt, Mason Bragg and Rhys Vague.

Winter Carnival

Mrs Kilpatrick organised the very successful Interschool Winter Carnival that was held on Tuesday 13 June 2017.  The children appeared to really enjoy themselves, mixing with their friends from the other schools in the spirit of participation and fun. What I love most about this day is the fact that every single child in Year 4, 5 and 6 took part. They tried out new sports, and helped their friends develop new skills. The children encouraged each other, and it did not matter whether they won, lost, or had a draw, it was more about spending the day being active with their friends and classmates.  Congratulations to the soccer teams for coming first and second overall in their events.  A huge THANK YOU to all parents who helped out with coaching and supervision on the day!

The report intends to provide our school community with information about our school’s activities and performance
