Congratulations and welcome to AVA GRACE MCKENZIE, daughter of Timothy and Carmel McKenzie and sister to Jackson and Hannah who was baptised at St Matthew’s Church yesterday morning. We wish Ava and her family every blessing as she is welcomed into the Christian community.

Children’s Liturgy

Children’s Liturgy of the Word commenced last Sunday with the wonderful Sr Sahaya.

Just before the Liturgy of the Word begins for the assembly, children (aged 4 to 10) are invited to go with the weekly leaders to the Parish Centre. During this special time, the volunteer teacher leads the children through prayers and readings that are simplified for children. Children’s Liturgy is scheduled for the second and last Sunday of every month of the school term. The remaining dates for this term are: 23 February, 8 March and 22 March.

Volunteers are needed to teach these lessons. This is a great opportunity to help these eager youngsters learn the Word of the Lord. All teaching outlines and materials are supplied. Volunteers are required to have their Working with Children Check and attend a short orientation meeting. Please register your interest by emailing jodie.collins@cewa.edu.au
