2022 Project Compassion

St Matthew’s School has launched our 2022 Project Compassion Appeal. As we begin the Season of Lent, we are called to fast, prayer, and give alms (charitable donations).

Students in Year 2-6 will bring home small collection boxes to fill, and then combine into their class boxes at the end of the term. The funds raised by Catholic schools all across Australia directly impact the lives of those in our world in dire need. In class, students will read stories and watch videos of the people that they helped in last years Project Compassion Appeal.

Please give generously “for all future generations”.

Year 4 Meditation

In health, the Tear 4’s took part in a guided meditation all about our ‘safe place’. They spoke about the importance of feeling safe and secure and being able to calm ourselves when we feel unsafe or uncomfortable. It is so important that everyone feels they have a trusted person to speak to about anything and a place they can go when they feel unsafe. Ask your child where their ‘safe place’ is when you get the chance! 😊

Artistic Year 1
