Book Fair

A big thank you to Carmel McKenzie, Mel Noakes, Sheree Shaddick, Narelle Behlau, Kylie Turton, Jody Matthews, Albin Mathew, Leah Parsons and Tegan Forrest for all of their help with the Book Fair last term. By all accounts, it was an impressive turn out. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we managed to raise $4707.00 for our library. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

Angelico Art Exhibition

The Angelico Exhibition for Catholic Students is a prestigious annual event on the Catholic school art calendar. The Angelico Exhibition is named after Blessed Fra Angelico, Patron before God of Artists. This year, I am proud to announce that we have submitted two entries from our Year 5 artists.

  • Louis titled his piece ‘For Ukraine’ and his artist statement is: My sunflower is for Ukraine. With this flower, I pray for peace in Ukraine.
  • Celine titled her piece ‘Lavendula’ and her artist statement is: How dull the world would be if we were all exactly alike. Thank you, God, for making me unique.

Congratulations to both of these artists. A big thank you to Mrs Allington for completing these entries and making this possible.

Should you wish to view the exhibition, here are the details:

Year 6 Camp

Year 6 students travelled to Ern Halliday Recreation Camp last week to enjoy their 3-day camp. They arrived safely and launched into the Pump Track and Team Building activities on the first day. Exploring the natural bushland through orienteering and Lost Pilot, the Year 6 students stoked their adventurous spirit and developed their communication and collaboration skills. Day 2 brought activities such as Archery, Rock Climbing, and The Big Swing, which even the teachers had a go at. A highlight of the camp was definably caving, where students navigated through a variety of man-made tunnels and passages working as teams to support each other through some uncomfortable situations. A big thank you to Miss Dellaca and Mrs Kilpatrick for all their hard work on camp.
