Mary Mackillop Prayer

Most loving God,
We thank you for the example of
St Mary MacKillop,
who in her living of the Gospel
witnessed to the human dignity of each person.
She faced life’s challenges
with faith and courage.
We pray through her intercession
for all of our needs
We make this prayer through Jesus the Lord.

Amen

Dear Parents and Carers

Three weeks into term and the cool weather is still upon us. A big thank you to all parents for their support in encouraging students to wear their jumpers and the correct school uniform. A reminder that Tuesday and Thursday are the days when students wear their faction coloured polo shirts and on Friday, students wear their red polo shirts.

St Mary MacKillop Prayer Service

It was lovely to see so many parents attending our St Mary MacKillop Prayer Service on Thursday morning. Our Year 2, and some of our Year 1 students led a meaningful and reverent service celebrating the life of St Mary and her wonderful achievements as Australia’s first Saint. Special thanks to Mrs. Milton for organizing this special celebration.

Sacrament of the Eucharist

Students in Year 4 are preparing for their First Holy Communion, also called the Sacrament of the Eucharist. This Sunday at 9.30am, there will be a Commitment Mass followed by morning tea, and a parent/student workshop. We look forward to seeing our Sacramental candidates join us for Mass and the workshop with their families.

School Photos

On Tuesday 13th August, all students are required to wear their formal winter uniform for school photos. There will be no sports lessons on Tuesday as lessons have been rescheduled to the following day. On Wednesday 14th August, please send your child to school in their faction sports uniform. A reminder that all photo orders need to be placed online. If you wish to have a family photo of your children, please pick up an order form from the office. Family photos are scheduled to be taken between 8am and 9am in the hall.

Great Southern 2019 Primary School Netball Cup

On Friday morning, the Year 6 students headed to Katanning to participate in the Great Southern Primary School Netball Competition.  This is an annual event where schools within the Great Southern region come together for this primary school competition. Both teams were successful showing team spirit and encouragement to all throughout the day. A big thank you to Mrs Kilpatrick for organizing our Year 6 teams, and to Mr Tenney and our wonderful parents, Mrs Dyke and Mrs Batt, who assisted on the day.
