ANZAC Services

On Thursday 6 April, Years 4 to 6 students attended the Combined Schools ANZAC Day service. This is an important time to reflect on the men and women of the armed forces and the sacrifices they have made so that we can enjoy lives of freedom. Elias (Yr 6) and Jenaveve (Yr 6) confidently read a reflection. Pia (Service Captain) and Sam (Communication Captain) lay the wreath on behalf of our school. A sincere thank you to Mr Tenney and Miss McCormack for preparing our students for this service.

On April 25, Pia and Samantha also represented the school beautifully by laying a wreath at the community ANZAC service. Thank you, girls.

Year 6 Camp

Our Year 6 Camp ran from Wednesday to Friday last week, By all accounts it was filled with lots of laughter, strong friendships, learning of new skills, displays of epic leadership, and life-long memories. Congratulations to our fabulous Year 6 class and a big thank you to Mr Tenney, Miss McCormack and Mrs Kilpatrick for making the camp possible.

Space Music

Last Wednesday, our students had the unique opportunity to listen to Venusian Volcanologist (which means he mapped part of Venus for NASA!!) Dr Antony Brian as he navigated us through space and time with stunning NASA images and film. The children also got up close and personal with musicians from the Australian Baroque Orchestra and worked with artist Rachel Wyder to complete some amazing space-inspired creations.

Stations of The Cross

On Thursday 6 April, students from Years 4 to 6 helped us to reflect on some of Jesus’ final days on earth through their portrayal of the Stations of the Cross. Thank you to all of our parents who attended this important event.

Thank you Fr Jay for your calm and constant presence, and for sharing your knowledge, faith, and amazing sporting skills with us.

We wish you God’s blessing for the next chapter of your journey.
