Dockers Visit and Sports Colours Day
On Thursday 16th November we had a visit from the Fremantle Dockers. Matthew Johnson, Hugh Davies, Liam Reidy, and Brady Grey spoke to St Matt’s about healthy eating, getting good sleep, team work, social media, and the importance of life-long learning. They were very generous with their time and the children thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to meet some football heroes.
Students were invited to wear their favourite Sports Colours on this day to raise money for our Parish. This year we raised $136.65. Thank you to everyone for their generosity.
School Band Performance
On Wednesday 22 November, our school community had the absolute pleasure of being entertained by Billy Bob and the Red Rippers, our school band. This year the band consists of:
Guitar- Adam
Keys – Uzoma and Ellice
Bass – Evan
Drums – Blake
Vocals – Emma and Holly
They did a fantastic job and Mrs Hastie was very proud of all they have achieved this year. A big thank you to Mr Hastie for coming in and helping with the sound production.
Kindy Excursion
The Kindy children, Sister Sahaya and Mrs Prideaux visited the Grieve Family farm to help consolidate their learning in the Health topic of this term, “Farm Safety”. The excursion also benefited the children in the development of their oral language and social skills. A huge thank you to the Grieve family for letting us visit your beautiful farm, and a special thank you to Mrs Prideaux for planning this fun day.
